Information

If you are pregnant, you should take additional precautions when you consume meat. Lomo, which is a popular type of meat in Spain and Latin America, is not considered safe for pregnant women. Lomo is lean meat, but it is very rich in saturated fat. Saturated fats are known to increase the risk of heart disease and diabetes, and are therefore to be avoided during pregnancy. In addition, the LOMO can be contaminated by bacteria that can be harmful to the baby. These bacteria can cause serious infections and medical complications. They are more likely to be present in raw or insufficiently cooked meat. Therefore, it is strongly recommended for pregnant women to avoid consuming raw Lomo or insufficiently cooked. If you decide to eat Lomo, make sure it is well cooked and consume it immediately after cooking to reduce the risk of bacterial contamination.
